DART is seeking an Associate Community Organizer in Tampa, FL to join our Organizing department. The role focuses on building trust with faith communities and guiding members toward collective action.

You will recruit congregations, organize trainings, and coordinate a yearly fundraising drive while balancing evening/weekend commitments and travel across the region. Compensation includes full benefits and hands-on training.

Qualifications

• Experience organizing or community engagement is preferred.
• Ability to build relationships across diverse communities.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends to meet community needs.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with people of faith in the community and invite participation.
• Organize direct action assemblies with large participation to press for change.
• Recruit new congregations and coordinate local trainings and fundraising drives.
• Contribute to research into community problems and develop leadership among participants.
