Job summary

Intervention, Inc. in Henderson, CO seeks an entry-level Criminal Justice Community Corrections Specialist to monitor clients, enforce rules, and promote pro-social behavior. This role requires direct observation of male clients and offers growth opportunities in a non-profit justice setting.

Responsibilities include rounds, incident reporting, safety enforcement, and client support across shifts. Training is provided; PSLF eligibility noted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years customer service and/or security experience preferred.
• Computer skills to enter data, generate reports and use various software/databases.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to remain calm and deescalate stressful or crisis situations.
• Knowledge of client population and cultural sensitivities.
• Teamwork and independent work capability.

Responsibilities

• Support and implement Intervention Inc.'s mission, values and Code of Conduct.
• Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
• Educate clients on facility policies and orientations.
• Monitor and enforce facility rules and policies.
• Provide safety and security training to clients and staff as needed.
• Document incidents and updates accurately and timely in systems and logs.
• Conduct rounds and monitor client movements and activities.
• Coordinate meals, sign-in/out, and property retrieval as required.
• Complete paperwork accurately and timely and attend required meetings with staff.
