Job summary

General Parts Group is hiring an Apprentice Field Service Technician to repair and maintain commercial kitchen equipment in schools, healthcare facilities and restaurants throughout your area. Pay begins at $20-$25 hourly with hands-on training shadowing a Lead Technician.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment, service gas, electric, and steam systems, order parts, and participate in after-hours rotations.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of related experience, education, or military training preferred.
• EPA refrigeration certification is required for refrigeration techs.
• Valid driver’s license with driving record meeting safety standards.
• Completion of background check and drug screen.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial cooking, refrigeration, and HVAC equipment.
• Provide service solutions for gas, electric, and steam systems.
• Order and install replacement parts.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations.
