Job summary

Bal Seal Engineering Colorado Springs is seeking an entry-level machinist to set up and operate CNC Swiss machines, producing precision medical housings per blueprints. The role requires close supervision as you build skills in measurement, tool offsets, and quality control in a manufacturing environment.

You will work with microscopes and precision measuring tools, interpreting drawings, ensuring tight tolerances, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate or diploma in machining a plus.
• Familiar with CI/Lean a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates CNC Swiss machines.
• Produces medical housings per blueprints with supervision.
• Inspects micro parts and adjusts offsets.
• Performs setups, changeovers, and tool offsets with supervision.
• Maintains clean, organized work area and safety standards.
• Performs visual and physical inspection of parts.
• Makes adjustments to maintain print dimensions and surface finishes.
• Monitors machine performance and adjusts as needed.
• Assists with maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
