Job summary

Applied Aerospace in Stockton, CA is seeking an entry-level CNC Programmer with Mastercam certification or a 2 year CNC programming degree to join our manufacturing team. You will create, modify, and optimize CNC programs to produce precision aerospace components according to engineering specs.

The role focuses on developing programs for milling and turning on multi-axis machines, interpreting drawings, selecting tools, and validating programs before production.

Qualifications

• 2 year CNC programming experience or a CNC programming certificate is required.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to read GD&T on engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write CNC programs using Mastercam for milling, turning, and multi-axis machines.
• Interpret drawings and 3D models to determine machining requirements and tool paths.
• Choose tools, fixtures, and parameters for different materials and geometries.
• Simulate and verify programs to prevent errors or collisions before machining.
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve part quality and efficiency.
• Perform basic machine setup and operation for testing programs.
• Document changes and create setup sheets and procedures.
