Job summary

American StaffCorp in Tulsa, OK is seeking a CNC operator to load, set up, and operate mills and lathes according to drawings and work instructions.

You will perform in-process inspections, record measurements, maintain 6S workspace, and communicate any nonconformities to the shift lead. This role requires basic math, reading skills, and the ability to work safely on a manufacturing floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CNC operator / machinist diploma or certification preferred.
• Machine Tool Technology degree a definite plus.
• 0 to 2 years of manufacturing experience operating CNC mills or lathes; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree.

Responsibilities

• Obtain job assignments from supervisor or manager.
• Load and unload product and fixtures on assigned CNC machine.
• Perform machining operations from drawings and written work instructions.
• Utilize basic mathematical skills to measure and record dimensional items with accuracy and efficiency.
• Responsible for part quality and use of standard measuring equipment for dimensional checks.
• Maintain machines in working condition with daily preventive maintenance checks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to 6S standards.
• Communicate with manufacturing on first piece acceptance and stopping processes if defects are found.
