Sarstedt, Inc. in Newton, NC is seeking a CNC Machinist Level 1 (1st shift) to operate manual and CNC machines, manufacture and repair parts, and ensure quality and safety.

You will read blueprints, set up mills and lathes, select tools, adjust speeds/feeds, and monitor operations to maintain tight tolerances.

You’ll also assist training apprentices and work with the Engineering Manager to resolve issues, in a clean, climate-controlled facility with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 3–6 months related experience.
• Experience with CAD/CAM programming, milling, turning, EDM, and/or mold making preferred.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, grinders, and shapers.
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and equipment for machining operations.
• Adjust machine speeds, feeds, and cutting depths as needed.
• Monitor machining operations, inspect finished parts, and make adjustments to maintain quality.
• Assist with training apprentices and work with the Engineering Manager and Tool Shop Supervisor to resolve machining issues.
