Tsugami America is seeking an Entry-Level Field Service Technician to join our service team. This role is ideal for recent technical school graduates or individuals with hands-on mechanical or electrical aptitude eager to learn and grow.

You will support installation, maintenance, and repair of Tsugami CNC machine tool equipment at customer sites throughout New England. No prior CNC service experience is required; we provide structured in-house training and ongoing development to set you up for

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, or maintenance experience welcomed.
• Interest in CNC machinery, automation, or manufacturing technology.
• Basic ability to read and understand technical drawings (training provided).
• Familiarity with hand tools and precision measuring equipment is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills and service documentation tools.
• Good communication and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to assist with installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tool equipment and controls.
• Learn to identify performance issues and assist with preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime.
• Support diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Use manuals, technical docs, and internal resources to research and resolve machine issues.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service status and next steps.
• Complete service documentation accurately (reports, install docs).
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Participate in ongoing technical and safety training and seminars.
