Job summary

Tsugami America, a division of Morris Group, Inc., seeks an Entry-Level Field Service Technician to join our growing service team in the New England area. You will support installation, maintenance, and repair of Tsugami CNC machine tool equipment at customer facilities, with no prior CNC service experience required as we provide structured in-house training.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, electrical, or maintenance experience (academic, internship, military, or hands-on experience welcomed).
• Interest in CNC machinery, automation, or manufacturing technology.
• Basic ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics (training provided).
• Familiarity with hand tools and precision measuring equipment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and service documentation tools).
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to assist with installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of CNC machine tool equipment and controls.
• Learn how to identify performance issues and assist with preventative maintenance to maximize machine uptime.
• Support the diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Use machine manuals, technical documentation, and internal resources to research and resolve machine issues.
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding service status, next steps, and completed work.
• Complete service documentation accurately (reports, install reports, etc.).
• Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Participate in ongoing technical training, safety training, and manufacturer-led seminars.
• Continuously develop knowledge of Tsugami product lines and evolving CNC technology.
