Job summary

A Medical Assistant I is sought to join the Health Center Operations team. Under Nurse Flow Manager supervision, you will provide clinical and clerical support, helping deliver direct patient care and coordinating with providers and nurses.

Training is provided to master essential duties within six months, with progression to Medical Assistant II anticipated. Candidate should have MA training and be bilingual if possible.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED
• Graduation from a technical school as a Medical Assistant or equivalent.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register, schedule, and verify appointments.
• Assist in patient visit preparation with administrative tasks.
• Obtain patient history and vital signs.
• Assist with exams and procedures.
• Immunizations and in-house tests (strep, BGL, HCT, UA, HCG, HbA1c).
