Qualifications

  • Current registration as a professional engineer in Florida or eligibility to register in Florida within six months of employment.
  • Knowledge of water/wastewater, reclaimed water, and solid waste systems.
  • Five years of education or experience in manufacturing or related field.
  • Working knowledge of civil engineering standards and codes.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Knowledge to model civil systems for pressure and gravity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise to solve problems related to design, construction, operation and maintenance of infrastructure systems.
  • Review and approve customer service requests.
  • Create a business plan / service portfolio for the city service system.
  • Conduct technical analysis of construction plans for new development and expansion of infrastructure.
  • Support preparation of country studies, reports, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain equipment specifications and construction standards.
  • Provide engineering guidance to internal and external partners.
  • Oversee cost‑effectiveness in the capital plan considering capacity and equipment replacement.
  • Serve as a performance team representative in financial benefit projects.
  • Conduct local research if necessary.
  • Ensure quality control to meet regulatory compliance.
