Job summary

Walt Disney World is seeking a Mgr-Mechanical & Facility Systems Engineering to lead a team delivering technical support for resort, park, and other facilities. You will drive root-cause analyses, prioritize sustaining and project work, and ensure safe, reliable operations across HVAC, MEP, and building systems.

The role reports to Senior Manager-Programs-Project Design Support and requires a PE license or Florida reciprocity, 10+ years of multi-discipline experience, and strong leadership with

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect or Professional Engineering (PE) license in Florida or reciprocity.
• 10+ years of professional experience in a multi-discipline architecture/engineering environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of sustaining engineering practices for complex facilities, including troubleshooting, problem resolution, and system reliability improvement for ride, show, and building systems.
• Demonstrated ability to partner with multiple lines of business in fast-paced environments while prioritizing work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers and architects while actively resolving complex sustaining challenges with technical leadership and hands-on support.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, contributing to root cause analyses and reliability improvements across HVAC, MEP, and other facility systems.
• Balance leadership with project involvement by setting priorities, allocating resources, and supporting sustaining and project initiatives.
• Drive accountability for closeout processes, ensuring complete technical solutions and long-term recommendations.
• Shape departmental strategy and translate business objectives into actionable solutions.
• Foster coaching and mentorship to grow technical depth and leadership across the team.
• Promote ownership, innovation, and customer-focused problem solving through hands-on engagement.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering Services, and other disciplines to deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
