Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. in Columbus, OH seeks an entry-level Staff Engineer to gain hands-on experience in site design, grading, utilities, parking, roadways, and stormwater management alongside licensed engineers.

You’ll use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excel to create and refine construction plans, collaborating on land development projects that impact local communities while growing through onboarding, mentorship, and real projects.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Construction, or Structural Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related program with a focus on civil infrastructure
• Reliable transportation to and from the office or local project sites
• Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute, with a strong work ethic and a willingness to try new things

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Team Leaders on land development projects
• Get hands-on experience in drafting, plan production, field inspections, design coordination, and cost estimation
• Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to support real-world design and stormwater management solutions
• Assist with engineering tasks such as performing calculations, preparing permit applications, writing technical specs, and creating exhibits and presentation materials
• Take on a variety of project-related tasks, giving you broad exposure to how land development projects move from concept to construction
• Other duties as assigned
