Job description

What we are looking for

As an entry-level Civil or Environmental Engineer, you will provide engineering and design support for solid waste projects, including landfills and transfer stations, for private and municipal clients. You will report to and work alongside Professional Engineers to learn the project lifecycle from design to construction. This position is based in our Bedford, TX office, requiring presence 5 days a week, with fieldwork involved.

How you can make an impact

• Prepare grading plan designs, stormwater management designs and calculations, water balance models, volume calculations, and other related calculations.
• Draft engineering reports, including data tables, charts, graphs, sketches, and figures.
• Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations to ensure adherence to construction documents.
• Perform quality control reviews on all work products prior to submission, including reports, design plans, calculations, and data.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients effectively.
• Collaborate with CAD drafters for design plans and figures, or use AutoCAD for basic design tasks.
• Prepare permit applications, regulatory submissions, and responses with supporting documentation.
• Oversee construction activities in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering expected by June 2025.
• At least 3 months of relevant internship, work, or research experience in environmental or engineering fields.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record is required.

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $70,000.00 per year
