Job Description

As an entry-level Environmental Scientist, Environmental Engineer, or Geologist, you will have the opportunity to perform fieldwork on environmental assessment and remediation projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.

This position will work at the Linden, NJ project site.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct field sampling activities, including groundwater sampling, soil sampling, well installation, project recovery, remedial system operation & maintenance, construction management, design, remedial actions, ecological evaluations, data evaluation, and report writing in diverse environmental settings.
  2. Contribute to the evaluation and interpretation of environmental data.
  3. Assist senior staff in developing project documents such as work plans and reports.
  4. Work closely with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
  5. Oversee subcontractors once trained in the tasks being performed.
  6. Participate in Kleinfelder’s Health and Safety program.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related engineering degree.
  • 0-2 years’ experience in the environmental field working on large, complex assessment/remediation sites.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • All new hires must undergo medical surveillance, including a nine-panel drug screen and breath alcohol test, in accordance with company policy. This position may be subject to client-mandated random screenings.
  • Staff must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator seal.
Preferred Skills:
  • 40-hour OSHA training
  • TWIC certification
  • GIS experience
