Anchor Construction Corporation is seeking a Junior Estimator to join our growing team in the DMV & Eastern Shore area. This entry-level role supports the estimating department by assisting with quantity takeoffs, pricing, subcontractor coordination, and bid preparation for civil construction projects.

The position offers a starting salary of $75,000–$80,000 per year, with benefits including holidays, 401(k), and comprehensive health coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Construction Management or Engineering education preferred.
• 0–2 years of estimating or construction experience.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Obtain and track subcontractor/vendor quotes.
• Support bid preparation and proposal submissions.
• Maintain estimating files and project cost data.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits.
