Job summary

Mead & Hunt, a recognized consulting firm, is seeking an entry-level engineer in Orlando, FL, to support impactful infrastructure projects. The role includes preparing engineering documents for municipal water and wastewater projects and assisting with design and analysis across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a relevant engineering field from an ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Previous relevant internship experience in engineering projects is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil/environmental engineering design documents for municipal projects.
• Assist with reports, specifications, plans, and designs for full project lifecycle.
• Prepare design computations and construction documents accurately.
• Visit project sites for data collection and verification.
• Serve as onsite project representative as needed.
• Attend client meetings and collaborate with engineers.
• Some travel will be required.

Overview

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is experiencing strong, sustained growth and we’re expanding our team. We have an exciting opportunity available for an entry-level engineer who is eager to launch their career and contribute to impactful infrastructure projects. The preferred location is Daytona Beach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing civil/environmental engineering design documents for municipal water, wastewater and stormwater projects that support growing communities
• Assisting with analysis and preparation of reports, specifications, plans, schedules, studies, permits and designs for projects across full project lifecycle
• Preparing design computations, quantity/cost estimates and construction documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Visiting project sites during design and construction for design data collection and verification to gain valuable field experience
• May serve as onsite project representative
• May attend client meetings and collaborate directly with experienced engineers and project teams
• Some travel will be required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in civil, chemical, environmental, mechanical engineering (or closely related field) from an ABET-accredited college or university or within six (6) months of hire

Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Previous relevant internship working on civil/environmental engineering projects
• EIT certification
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil3D software
• Experience with Revit and ArcGIS
• Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project software
• Hydraulic and/or hydrology, Water Gems, SewerCAD software experience would be a bonus
