Qualifications

• Qualified candidates should have water/wastewater knowledge and related hydraulics/ fluid mechanics concepts.
• Preferences include understanding design principles and industry standards.
• Degree in engineering is required with strong academic performance.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and policies.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams to support design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Participates in project coordination meetings to resolve design challenges and incorporate client requirements.
• Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis.
• Assists with development of project schedules, cost estimates, and engineering deliverables.
• Focuses on internal client needs while gaining understanding of external client interests and drivers.
• Develops and applies knowledge of engineering software, design tools, and digital delivery methods.
