City of Chico's Public Works - Engineering Division is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to support design, review, and construction of street, drainage, and transportation projects. This position involves learning to prepare plans, analyze public works plans, and perform basic engineering calculations under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a Civil Engineering degree (or EIT eligibility) and familiarity with AutoCAD.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification may substitute for the degree.
• 1 year of professional civil engineering experience or 2 years as Engineering Technician (City of Chico) are acceptable alternatives.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares plans and specifications for street, storm drain, sewer, and transportation facilities.
• Reviews and processes plans for private developments affecting public works facilities.
• Performs design calculations and cost estimates for projects.
• Organizes tasks and coordinates with contractors to meet project goals.
