Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road is seeking entry-level/new-grad engineers for projects in the Austin/San Antonio, Texas area. You will gain exposure across Operations, Estimating, Survey, Scheduling, and Engineering, performing a variety of duties from earthwork calculations to CAD drafting and project planning.

Ideal candidates are new graduates, highly organized, with strong communication skills and a readiness to work in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
• New/recent graduate (Aug 2026–May 2027).

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Controls Manager with training and policy compliance.
• Help create and update project and bid schedules and Earned Value updates.
• Perform earthwork calculations, shop drawing reviews and basic formwork design.
• Read drawings and specifications and support field operations.
• Assist in surveying math, plan reading and layout for logistics.
