Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified civil engineer to join our construction and/or design teams. We offer in-office design-focused roles, in-field construction inspection roles, or a combination of both. During the interview process, you will have the opportunity to express your interests, motivations, and skills that best align with each role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee roadway design and construction projects.
• Manage field projects and inspections.
• Utilize civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) to prepare design plans.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Assist engineers with daily tasks across multiple projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and agencies.
• Manage multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work under tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering exam before start date.
• Knowledge of AASHTO and ASCE standards and policies.
• Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation procedures is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for earthwork calculations, academic experience acceptable.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel, including long drives, overnight trips, and rural or urban areas.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States; no sponsorship provided.
• Availability for night work, weekends, and flexible hours.
• Soft skills: teamwork, openness to feedback, adaptability, active listening, strong work ethic.
• Physical requirements: walking on uneven terrain, standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), pushing, pulling, and keyboard use.
