DLZ Corporation invites entry-level Civil Engineer/Surveyor/Construction Professional applicants to join our Michigan offices in Lansing, Waterford, Detroit, and Saint Joseph. You will apply foundational knowledge across civil, surveying, and construction design tasks under experienced mentors.

You will gain hands-on field exposure, assist in reports and drawings, and pursue FE certification within the first year, all while upholding safety and teamwork across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Relevant internship experience highly preferred.
• FE certification within one year of hire desirable.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to safely navigate construction and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, construction, and design projects with focus on your area of expertise.
• Assist in preparing reports, cost estimates, and technical studies.
• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, and other materials.
• Prepare detailed sketches and diagrams for use by technicians.
• Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
• Document all project activities clearly and concisely.
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe and responsible manner.

Position: Civil Engineer/Surveyor/Construction Professional

Role

We are looking for new college graduates to fill entry-level roles in multiple disciplines for offices in Lansing, Waterford, Detroit, and Saint Joseph, MI. We have opportunities available in:

In this role, you will apply your foundational knowledge to a variety of engineering and design assignments. You will work under the guidance of experienced professionals and receive hands‑on experience in your chosen field.
