Job summary

DLZ Corporation is seeking entry-level Civil Engineer/Surveyor/Construction professionals to join our team across offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Logan, OH and Bridgeville, PA. You’ll start with foundational responsibilities in civil/structural, surveying, construction services, water resources, and transportation.

You will work under experienced mentors, gaining hands-on experience, applying your knowledge to reports, drawings, and site routines while growing toward FE certification and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field (e.g., surveying or construction management).
• Relevant internship experience is highly preferred.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, or a willingness to obtain it within one year of hire.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to safely navigate construction and project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, construction, and design projects with a focus on your area of expertise.
• Assist in preparing reports, cost estimates, and technical studies.
• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, and other materials.
• Prepare detailed sketches and diagrams for use by technicians.
• Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
• Document all project activities clearly and concisely.
• Ensure all work is performed in a safe and responsible manner.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

Role

We are looking for new college graduates to fill entry-level roles in multiple disciplines for offices in Columbus, Cleveland, Akron, Logan, OH and Bridgeville, PA. We have opportunities available in:
