Gonzalez Companies is a partner-managed firm that provides comprehensive Planning, Design, and Construction Management Services to large and small Water, Sewer, and Utility Districts; Departments of Transportation; and municipalities. We are currently seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer to serve our diverse clients and community. Your Primary Responsibilities will include

1. Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications for projects
2. Assisting under the supervision of a project manager or senior team member with engineering calculations, drawings, and visual aids
3. Performing site visits and field observations during construction
4. Conducting fieldwork, tolerating environmental conditions, walking on uneven surfaces, and lifting at least 50 pounds when needed
5. Following corporate quality procedures
6. Collaborating with multidisciplinary design teams
7. Ensuring project compliance with local regulations and safety standards
8. Maintaining proper documentation of projects, including design changes, reports, and test results
9. Staying updated on industry standards, building codes, and software advancements
10. Taking initiative to learn new skills or technologies to improve project efficiency or design

What you'll need

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Microstation
• 1-2 years of engineering design experience in stormwater, wastewater, transportation, or site development projects
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Relevant coursework in water resources, transportation, or related fields
