We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified civil engineer for our construction and/or design teams. We offer in-office design roles, field construction inspection roles, or a combination of both. During the interview, you can express your interests, motivations, and skills that align with each role.

Description

• Oversee roadway design and construction.
• Manage projects in the field.
• Use civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D) for designing plans.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Support engineers with daily tasks across multiple projects.
• Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and agencies.
• Meet deadlines and produce high-quality work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (minimum).
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or passed Fundamentals of Engineering exam before start date.
• Knowledge of AASHTO and ASCE standards.
• Familiarity with Wisconsin Department of Transportation procedures is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including academic experience, is acceptable.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel, including long drives, overnight trips, and urban or rural areas.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Availability for night work, weekends, and flexible hours.
• Soft skills: teamwork, feedback receptiveness, adaptability, active listening, strong work ethic.
• Physical requirements: walking on uneven terrain, standing, lifting (min 50 lbs), pushing/pulling, keyboard use.
