Job summary

The Oregon Department of Justice’s Division of Child Support (DCS) in Medford is seeking an Entry Child Support Case Manager to join our team. This role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and customer-focused service as you support paternity establishment and support orders.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience working with the public in person or by phone giving information about services and programs and solving customer problems/complaints.
• A Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the above experience.
• Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Review case documents to determine if a child support order is needed.
• Contact customers and service providers to gather information for establishing and enforcing orders.
• Establish, modify, enforce, and provide accounting records for child support orders.
• Apply federal and state laws, rules, and agency policies and procedures.
• Verify payments are disbursed and verify accuracy of claims.
• Process paternity declarations and file legal documents to establish paternity.
• Gather wage and health care information to calculate support obligations.
