Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Lancaster, PA seeks a laboratory analyst to perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analyses of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished products. The role includes running HPLC, UV, IC, and related instruments, preparing samples, and validating new analytical processes.

Candidates should have a chemistry degree and be eligible to work in the U.S. with local Lancaster, PA preference.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field, or equivalent direct experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Locally based candidates in Lancaster, PA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished products.
• Run instrumentation independently including HPLC, UV/Vis, GC, FTIR, IC, and dissolution devices.
• Prepare samples for analysis and run instrumentation with minimal supervision.
• Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department.
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis.
• Execute method transfer protocols.
• Document work as required for GMP compliance.
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Employee Responsibilities:

• Perform physical, chemical, and instrumental analysis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished pharmaceutical products (tablets, capsules, parenterals, devices, aerosols, liquids, creams, and gels)
• Run the instrumentation independently including, but not limited to, various chromatographic systems, Karl Fischer (Coulometric and Volumetric), UV/Spec, various wet chemistry analyses, HPLC, IC, IR, ICP, AA, TGP, DSC, PDA, auto-titrators, TLC, and dissolution apparatus
• Preparing samples for analysis and running some instrumentation with minimum supervision
• Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
• Prepare standards and samples for analysis
• Execute method transfer protocols
• Document work as required for GMP compliance
• Perform monthly maintenance of laboratory equipment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly‑related experience
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Applicants local to Lancaster PA preferred

Additional Information

Position is full time, Monday‑Friday, on either first shift (8:00am‑5:00pm) or second shift (2:00pm‑10:00pm). Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
