You will set up machines per instructions, monitor for malfunctions, assist with repairs, keep work areas clean, and document goods and shift handovers to support continuous production and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Location: Huntersville, NC | Schedule: Full-time, on-site

Overview

An established manufacturer is seeking an Entry Level Chemical Operator to join its production team. This role is responsible for processing dry liner and packaging resin liner by operating and monitoring technical equipment, machines, and systems, playing a key part in maintaining safe, high-quality production output.

What you'll do
  • Set up machines according to specified production instructions
  • Independently ensure quality requirements are met
  • Carefully observe running production to detect malfunctions early
  • Correct minor malfunctions and support major repairs
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of the workplace, and care for technical equipment, machines, and systems for safety and quality reasons
  • Package and document goods according to applicable requirements
  • Participate in shift handovers
Required qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Experience with manufacturing software
  • Driver's License required
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to regularly stand, talk, and hear; frequently walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms; occasionally sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to work in an environment occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, and fumes or airborne particles, with usually moderate noise levels
