Job summary

C-P Systems Corporation is hiring an entry-level Chemical or Mechanical Engineer to assist in design, development, and implementation of industrial process systems. You will work with experienced engineers on projects from initial design through startup and commissioning, gaining hands-on experience across PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing, data sheets, and field support.

The role begins hybrid with regular office visits in Vadnais Heights during onboarding; later it may move to fully remote with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, mechanical, or industrial discipline with relevant experience.
• 0–2 years of experience in a chemical manufacturing (or similar) environment preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Perform engineering calculations and size process equipment like pumps, heat exchangers, condensers, and relief devices.
• Conduct fluid flow modeling and hydraulic analyses for piping and equipment sizing.
• Prepare instrument, valve, and equipment lists and data sheets for design and execution.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain technical information and quotations.
• Support process control philosophies and input on control logic and safety systems.
• Collaborate with design teams on 3D layouts and engineering packages.
• Contribute to complete mechanical bid packages for contractor pricing.
• Provide construction, commissioning, and startup support.
• Assist in field inspections and project troubleshooting.
