American Driver in Lincoln, NE is seeking drivers for steady regional freight with a dedicated planning team and consistent lanes. We offer a 4–6 week paid OTR training program at $850/week, then transition to solo pay after training.

Expect roughly 2,000 miles per week, mostly drop and hook, with day and night shifts. Weekly 34-hour restart keeps you home, weekends and holidays included.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record: max 2 moving violations in 2 years; no major wrecks in 5 years.
• Hair and urine testing is required.

Who Can Apply

• Never driven before? We'll train you. 4 to 6 week paid OTR program with an experienced trainer, $850/week guaranteed while training, then straight into full solo pay once you're done.
• Need 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school to get started.
• Already got miles under your belt? 6 months OTR in the last year, or a full year somewhere in the last 5, gets you in as experienced.
• 21 and up, CDL matching the state you live in.
• Driving record needs to be clean: max 2 moving violations over 2 years, no major preventable wrecks in the last 5.
• Hair and urine testing is part of the process.
• Prior military service counts toward experience with a DD214 on file.

Earning Potential

• $0.56 to $0.64 per mile depending on your experience tier.
• Typical drivers bring home $1,400 to $1,500 a week.
• First 3 months after you go solo, your pay is guaranteed.
• Performance bonus program on top of base pay.
• Loads under 100 miles pick up an extra $25.

On the Road

• Roughly 2,000 miles a week, mostly drop and hook, with occasional live load, live unload, or preload stops.
• One planner handles this whole region, so you're not starting over with someone new every week.
• Day and night shifts both run.
• Weekly 34-hour restart gets you home once a week.
• Weekends are part of the job; holidays too, unless that's your week off.
