LJA Transportation is seeking an CAD Technician I to join our team. This entry‑level role uses basic CAD skills to draft under supervision and support engineering teams on diverse projects.

You will prepare drawings, coordinate with engineers, and apply standards while developing your technical abilities in a collaborative, employee‑owned environment. This position offers growth within a hands‑on, field‑oriented setting.

Qualifications

• High school or technical training with CAD courses or equivalent experience.
• 0–3 years experience with AutoCAD.
• AutoCAD Civil3D experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adaptability to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to routine drafting tasks using 2D/3D CAD software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
• Prepare drawings, layouts, sketches, and models under supervision.
• Support preliminary and detailed design efforts by applying drafting standards and CAD criteria.
• Coordinate designs with engineers and project teams; resolve routine drafting issues.
• Contribute innovative, client-focused solutions and meet project deadlines.
