Job summary

ARCXIS is seeking an entry-level Drafter 1 to convert field data into CAD drafts under supervision of senior staff. You will learn company drafting standards and the basic legal requirements of land surveying, performing line work and labeling of easements and setbacks.

Responsibilities include processing raw field notes into CAD, drafting boundary and residential surveys, and reporting discrepancies to the Drafter 2 or RPLS. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• CAD certificate or an associate degree in drafting or design recommended.
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Fundamental understanding of distances, bearings, and units of measure.
• High attention to detail and a willingness to follow drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Process raw field notes and data collector files into CAD environments.
• Draft basic boundary surveys, residential lot surveys, and Final Surveys.
• Perform basic line work and labeling of easements, building lines, and setbacks.
• Identify and report discrepancies in field data to the Drafter 2 or RPLS.
