Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Entry-Level CAD Designer / CAD Technician in Acworth, GA. You will support engineering teams, preparing and revising detailed drawings and figures using AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and Carlson Civil.

The role focuses on civil and construction projects, with on-site work and potential hybrid arrangement based on performance. You will collaborate with engineers, geologists, and designers, applying mark-ups and ensuring accuracy while developing drafting skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Drafting and Design, Engineering Technology, CAD, or related field.
• CAD certificate or formal training in CAD.
• Experience reading and interpreting design plans and markups.
• Work experience in the construction industry or exposure to construction projects.
• Understanding of surveying files and coordinate systems.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Familiarity with civil design concepts and terminology.
• Interest in developing a long-term CAD career.

Responsibilities

• Assist expert CAD designers in completing plan sets, detailed drawings, and figures for engineering and design projects.
• Coordinate with the design team to complete project tasks on time and maintain schedules.
• Prepare and revise CAD drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or Carlson Civil as required.
• Incorporate mark-ups from engineers and project managers into drawings accurately.
• Perform basic calculations and drafting tasks to support deliverables.
• Read and interpret design plans and blueprints for drafting work.
