Job summary

Actalent is seeking a CAD Technician in Winter Garden, FL, to prepare survey and civil drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You will support licensed surveyors, PMs, and engineers in developing boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys, and land development projects.

The role requires 2+ years of Civil 3D experience, proficiency in survey drafting standards, and the ability to interpret deeds and easements. This is a contract-to-hire onsite position with a pay range of $27.00-$35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of AutoCAD Civil 3D experience.
• Experience drafting boundary and topographic surveys.
• Knowledge of survey drafting standards and procedures.
• Ability to interpret deeds, plats, easements, and legal descriptions.
• Experience with point files, surfaces, and survey data.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare survey drawings utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Process field data and survey information into accurate deliverables.
• Create and maintain surface models (existing and proposed).
• Draft boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction staking surveys.
• Prepare subdivision plats, easement exhibits, and legal description exhibits.
• Assist with grading plans, utility layouts, and site development plans.
• Produce construction document plan sets and permit exhibits.
• Coordinate with survey crews, project managers, and licensed surveyors.
• Perform quality control reviews for drafting accuracy and standards.
• Organize project files, references, and drawing databases.
