Job summary

Geosyntec is seeking a Senior CAD Drafting Technician (Civil 3D) to support environmental, civil and geotechnical engineering projects from our Kennesaw, GA office (also in Austin, TX and Birmingham, AL). You will develop layouts, grading plans and details using Civil 3D and AutoCAD, translating concepts into precise drawings across landfills, utilities and industrial sites.

The role requires strong CAD skills, knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS tools, plus the ability to mentor junior

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in drafting and a minimum of three years of experience performing CAD drafting in a professional engineering setting.
Experience with AutiCAD/Civil 3D and ability to produce layouts, grading plans and details for civil projects.

Responsibilities

Draft, edit, and finalize design plans and details using CAD drafting standards.
Develop layouts, grading plans and details for civil engineering projects including landfills and utilities.
Mentor CAD Drafting Technicians and support CAD standards improvements across the company.
Coordinate with engineers to review and refine drawings for accuracy and quality.
Operate plotters, printers and other output devices and ensure drawing sets are complete.
