Southwire Company in Heflin, AL is seeking an entry-level Take Up 2 to set up and operate coiler/spoolers on Skaltec lines and related equipment. The role supports production by handling reels, labeling, and basic machine adjustments.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, English literacy, ability to lift up to 45 lbs, and willingness to follow procedures. Forklift license may be required; safety and quality rules apply throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must read, write, and speak English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to stand and lift up to 45 lbs.
• Assist with operation of the assigned machine.
• Must be able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators with lines.
• Operate per applicable procedures.
• Change out reels of cable while maintaining line function.
• Label reels using the tagging system.
• Make minor adjustments and repairs to machines.
• Use production orders to meet customer requirements.
• Operate take-up and assist line operator with running the machine.
• This position may require a Southwire forklift license.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
