Gilder Search Group is hiring Cable Data Technicians for a large multi-year structured cabling project in Spartanburg, SC. This entry-level role offers hands-on training in cable installation, testing, and termination under experienced supervision.

Work includes flexible daytime hours with possible night shifts and weekends; contract position with potential conversion based on performance, attendance, and reliability over approx. 2–3 years.

Qualifications

• Prior construction experience required.
• Genuine interest in learning the low-voltage cabling trade.
• Must have an OSHA 10 safety certification in hand or obtain before site access.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, routing, and support of low-voltage data cabling as part of a structured cabling crew.
• Learn low-voltage cabling techniques, tools, and best practices from experienced technicians.
• Apply construction experience and site awareness to work safely on an active jobsite.
• Follow all job site safety procedures at all times.
• Adapt to shifting schedules, including occasional night shifts and weekend work, to meet milestones.
• Support crew and project leadership in meeting project timelines and deliverables.
