Job summary

Adecco Staffing is working with a Boxborough, MA manufacturing plant to recruit a Buyer/Planner (Entry-Level). The role is temp-to-hire and focuses on ensuring materials are available to support production schedules while maintaining accurate inventory levels.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field is a plus.
• Manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, customer service, or administrative support experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies needed for production.
• Monitor inventory levels and help maintain adequate stock.
• Support production planning by reviewing schedules and material requirements.
• Create and process purchase orders.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any shortages.
• Track open orders and follow up on late deliveries.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records in the ERP/MRP system.
• Work with production, warehouse, and quality teams to resolve material-related issues.
• Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities to improve material flow and reduce shortages.
• Perform other supply chain and purchasing duties as assigned.
