Job summary

The Commonwealth of Kentucky in Frankfort seeks a Policy and Budget Analyst I to support the Executive Branch budget's preparation, implementation, and monitoring. This is a full-time position within the Office of State Budget Director at 200 Mero Street, 5th Floor, Frankfort, KY 40601.

You will review agency budget requests, prepare biennial budgets, monitor legislative changes, and handle budget modification documents. Strong analytical skills and a bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required.
• EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: NONE
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Professional experience may substitute for the required education.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze agency biennial budget requests.
• Prepare biennial budget requests for assigned agencies.
• Monitor legislative actions affecting the Executive Branch budget.
• Process budget modification documents and capital project requests.
