Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Broadband Specialist I (Field Technician) to perform new installations and service changes at customer homes. You will drive a company vehicle, install and troubleshoot cable and broadband services, and handle related paperwork with a focus on customer experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in various weather conditions and heights.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• General mechanical and consumer devices knowledge.
• Ability to interact with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to work in high or tight spaces and in all weather conditions.
• Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform exterior and interior cable installations from tap to antenna terminals.
• Make new connects, reconnections, and service changes.
• Read signal levels and adjust installations as needed.
• Climb poles and ladders safely and use required PPE.
• Drive company vehicle and perform vehicle maintenance as needed.
