Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an entry-level Technician I in its Central States office to assist with drafting and plan preparation for bridge and roadway projects. You will work with AutoCAD or MicroStation and collaborate with engineers on project requirements.

The role involves preparing construction details, transferring data from survey sources to final plans, and supporting project teams to ensure designs meet company standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School or related.
• In lieu education, 2 years of relevant experience.
• AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience.
• Strong interest in transportation and infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of construction details, design plans, reports, and relevant project materials using CAD and related software.
• Transfers information in numerical, written, or electronic format from sources such as survey data and legal descriptions to final plans and maps.
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and verify design details to company standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
