Job summary

H&H in Raleigh, NC is seeking an entry-level Inspector/Technician to join our bridge inspection team. The role involves assisting with in-depth inspections of state, municipal, and private bridges, taking precise measurements, and documenting findings.

You will contribute to detailed inspection reports, create CAD drawings, and help schedule team activities while developing skills in structural assessment. Travel within North Carolina is required, and a valid US driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• Valid US Driver's License.
• Must be willing to travel within North Carolina.
• Associate's Degree or higher (preferred).
• NCDOT Inspection experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader of a two-man bridge inspection team with in-depth inspections of State-owned bridges, municipal bridges, privately owned bridges, railroad bridges, metal traffic signal poles, sign structures, ferry docks, and traffic attenuators located throughout North Carolina.
• Take precise measurements on structures to detect movement, deterioration and/or damage to structural members and document deficiencies.
• Contribute to writing detailed structure inspection reports based on field measurements and findings.
• Create CADD drawings to document field conditions.
• Assist in scheduling and planning the team's activities in conformance with structure priorities.
• Prepare clear and concise Daily Inspection Reports documenting work performed, manpower, material, equipment, and quantities.
