Job summary

Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc. seeks an entry level engineer in the Blast Effects section at our San Antonio corporate office.

The role focuses on supporting testing related to flammability and explosion phenomena and assisting in explosion consequence assessments and incident investigations. You will prepare technical proposals, reports and presentations, and frequently travel to field sites and test ranges as needed.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or related discipline; MS/PhD preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across test ranges, office, and sites.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Field or lab-scale testing experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Support testing related to flammability and explosion phenomena.
• Assist mid-level and senior staff in explosion consequence assessments and incident investigations.
• Prepare technical proposals, reports and presentations.
