Job summary

Microbial Discovery Group in the United States seeks an entry-level bio-manufacturing operator to support fermentation, drying, and downstream processing of spore-forming bacteria. You will follow SOPs, batch records, and safety standards in a GMP setting while handling production equipment under supervision.

The role involves loading/harvesting bioreactors, managing materials, labeling, and keeping accurate production documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and batch records with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and data entry on a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically active work.
• Work safely with chemicals and PPE.
• Teamwork and clear communication with coworkers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, setup and harvesting bioreactor tanks.
• Fill slurry into trays and perform freezing with proper labeling/traceability.
• Load frozen slurry into storage freezers and transfer materials to downstream areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading freeze dryers and spray dryers under supervision.
• Weigh raw materials accurately per production formulas.
• Clean trays, racks, cans and equipment following sanitation procedures.
• Refill and set up addition cans and related equipment safely.
• Assist with receiving/loading of raw materials and supplies.
• Prepare finished product for shipping, including labeling and palletizing.
• Operate scales, tray washers, freezers and other basic production equipment.
• Maintain production records and cleaning documentation.
