Job summary

Microbial Discovery Group in the United States is seeking an entry-level biomanufacturing operator to support fermentation, drying, and downstream processing of Bacillus and other spore-forming bacteria.

You will follow SOPs and batch records, operate basic production equipment under supervision, and maintain safety, quality, and documentation in a GMP environment while contributing to accurate production records and clean, audit-ready work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to follow written SOPs and work instructions with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and ability to use a computer for data entry and production records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely with chemicals and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, setting up, and harvesting bioreactor tanks according to SOPs and batch records.
• Fill slurry product into trays and perform standard and/or cryo-freezing with proper labeling and traceability.
• Load frozen slurry into storage freezers and transfer materials to downstream areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading freeze dryers and spray dryers under supervision.
• Weigh raw materials accurately per production formulas and instructions.
• Maintain production records, logs, and cleaning documentation.
