Job summary

Microbial Discovery Group in Wisconsin is seeking an entry-level biomanufacturing operator to support fermentation, drying, and downstream processing of Bacillus and other spore-forming bacteria. You will follow SOPs, maintain safety, quality, and production records under supervision, and operate basic equipment on site.

Qualifications

• Must follow written SOPs and batch records with attention to detail.
• Basic math skills and computer data entry for production records.
• Ability to perform physically active work, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading, setup, and harvesting bioreactor tanks per SOPs.
• Fill slurry into trays and perform standard/cryogenic freezing with proper labeling.
• Load frozen slurry into storage freezers and transfer to downstream processing areas.
• Assist with loading/unloading freeze dryers and spray dryers under supervision.
• Weigh raw materials accurately per production formulas and instructions.
• Maintain production records, logs, and cleaning documentation.
