Job summary
Auto-Owners Insurance is seeking an entry-level Business Intelligence Developer in the New York area to join our data-driven team. You will build data processes, assets, and reporting solutions to support growth and profitability, while learning our data flows and BI practices.
After initial in-person training, the role offers merit-based flexibility to work from home up to three days per week, with opportunities to advance in SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, and Excel within a collaborative
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related technical field.
- Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude.
- Experience with SQL, Python or similar languages.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other BI tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and clear communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Create reports, data extracts, and analyses to support business inquiries.
- Build, maintain, and document code for data transformation and presentation.
- Learn tools and techniques for designing BI solutions.
- Develop understanding of data sources and data flows.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and participate in trainings.
