Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an entry-level Aviation Engineer to join the Aviation Central Team in Houston, TX. This role involves developing plans and drawings, conducting field observations, researching site conditions and regulatory specs, and assisting in creating specifications and permit applications for airport projects.

The ideal candidate has 0-2 years of related experience, a ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering, proficient computer skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years' experience in a related technical field.
• ABET-accredited BS in Civil Engineering from a college/university.
• Must have good computer skills and be able to utilize standard office software.
• Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
• EIT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop plans and drawings for aviation projects.
• Perform field observations of construction where appropriate.
• Research project site conditions and regulatory agency specifications.
• Contribute to development of specifications and permit applications.
• Prepare preliminary cost estimates.
• Produce engineering drawings for airports and related civil projects (runways, taxiways, aprons, roadways).
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
