Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking a General Service Technician. This entry-level role involves performing oil changes, tire services, basic maintenance, and Digital Vehicle Inspections while learning from experienced technicians and shop leaders.

You will help keep the shop clean, assist with parts and documentation, and grow your automotive skills through paid training and development opportunities. Weekend availability may be required in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable, safety-focused and mechanically inclined; eager to learn foundational shop skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records check.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• General knowledge of under-hood, mechanical and undercarriage assemblies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance, including fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, and air and cabin filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation accurately.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through proper channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable under supervision.
• Keep shop, work areas, and customer vehicles clean and organized.
• Assist with parts transport and inventory tasks as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE; report hazards.
