Sun Auto Tire & Service in Glendale, AZ is hiring a General Service Technician. In this entry‑level role, you’ll perform tire services, oil changes, and basic maintenance, while learning under experienced technicians and store leaders.

You’ll complete Digital Vehicle Inspections, document work orders, and help keep the shop organized and safe. Strong mechanical interest and reliability are important, with weekend availability a plus.

Qualifications

• Motivated to start an automotive career in a hands-on shop environment.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to learn basic maintenance tasks.
• Wollows procedures, safety standards, and store processes.
• Able to work with technicians, service advisors, and store leaders.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and completion of a Motor Vehicle Records check.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services: mounting, dismounting, balancing, rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance (fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, filters).
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and document repair orders accurately.
• Identify safety-related issues and report findings through proper channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections where applicable under supervision.
• Keep shop, customer areas, and restrooms clean and customer-ready.
• Travel to transport parts or customers as directed.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE; comply with waste requirements.
